PureTalk international calling and texting
Can I use my PureTalk phone internationally?
PureTalk has standard wireless coverage throughout the United States, as well as parts of Mexico and Canada.
If you’re a PureTalk customer, you have the option to use credits to roam internationally in 30+ other destinations.
Before you leave the United States, chat with PureTalk about purchasing the International Roaming add-on so your phone is able to roam abroad.

How do I get PureTalk international credits?
According to PureTalk, each plan includes up to $20/month in international credits to help your phone work in 30+ countries worldwide.
When you travel outside of the United States, your phone will deduct these international credits anytime you use data, talk on the phone, or text.
Once you use up all your PureTalk international credits, you can add more if you want to continue using your PureTalk phone plan on vacation.

How much PureTalk roaming credit do I get?
The amount of PureTalk international calling and texting credit you’ll get each month depends on how much you pay for your phone plan.
For example, if you pay $20-$25 monthly for a PureTalk phone plan, you may receive a $5 credit each month to use your phone in another country.
PureTalk’s international calling and texting credits do not roll over, so they’re only valid within the current month. If you don’t use them, you lose them.

Is there a different way to call and text when I’m travelling?
Sure! If you don’t want to use your PureTalk phone number while travelling internationally, there are plenty of options.
Over either Wi-Fi or eSIM data, iPhone users can rely on iMessage and FaceTime. There are also social media apps with messaging and calling, like WhatsApp and Messenger.
Anyone can get a temporary phone number from Hushed for calling and texting over the internet on a private number.

Is there a cheaper way to get data internationally?
Yes, there is! Download an eSIM (digital SIM card) for the country you’ll be visiting, and it’s just like adding a brand-new international SIM card to your phone.
