Guide to Tello international calling and texting
Can I use my Tello Mobile phone plan internationally?
Tello Mobile is a United States virtual network operator that provides wireless service using the powerful T-Mobile network. (Tello originally used Sprint up until the Sprint/T-Mobile merger).
Tello is U.S.-based and does not offer international roaming at this time, but Tello customers can use Wi-Fi calling and texting or make calls through the My Tello app.

How do I get international data if I can’t use Tello?
1. Make sure you have a device that supports eSIM
2. Download the free aloSIM app
3. Buy and install an eSIM (digital SIM)
4. Switch off your Tello SIM while travelling
5. Activate your prepaid data package
During activation, we’ll show you how to temporarily toggle off your Tello SIM to avoid data roaming charges while you travel, and you can use a prepaid eSIM data package instead!

Does Tello offer Wi-Fi calling?
Yes! If your phone supports Wi-Fi calling, you can connect to a nearby Wi-Fi network and use the minutes from your Tello calling and texting plan.
You can also make calls (but not receive calls) through the My Tello app. Be sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi before using this app when you’re travelling, because it will use about 1 MB/minute otherwise.

Are there cheaper ways to talk and text internationally?
There are plenty of ways to talk and text while you’re travelling internationally.
Over either Wi-Fi or your eSIM data, iPhone users can rely on iMessage and FaceTime. There are also social media apps with messaging and calling.
Anyone can get a temporary phone number from Hushed for calling and texting over the internet on a private number.
