Can I use my Xfinity phone internationally?

Xfinity Mobile supports international calling and texting in about 200 countries, so you can use your regular Xfinity phone number while travelling just about anywhere in the world.

As an Xfinity customer, you can choose between their Global Travel Pass option (flat daily rate for calling, texting, and data) or their Pay As You Go option (where you only pay per call, per text, and per MB of data used).

How much does Xfinity charge for calling and texting internationally?

If you go with a flat daily rate using the Xfinity Global Travel Pass, you’ll pay $5-$10 (depending on your destination) for calling, texting, and data usage from your regular Xfinity mobile plan.

If you choose their Pay As You Go option, you can enter your destination to see exactly what they’ll charge per call, per text, and per MB of data usage.

Which Xfinity option is best for international travel?

If you plan on making a lot of phone calls and sending a lot of texts while you’re travelling, you probably want to choose the Xfinity Global Travel Pass. Then you’ll pay a flat daily rate for unlimited calling and texting.

If you want to save money and won’t be calling/texting much (remember, iMessage doesn’t count as texting), it will be cheaper to use Xfinity’s Pay As You Go option and rely on a prepaid eSIM data package for all data instead.

If I use an eSIM for data, will Xfinity charge me for data usage, too?

If you’re using an eSIM for all data usage, and you have disabled Data Roaming for your Xfinity SIM, they will not charge you data roaming fees.

Whether you have an iPhone, Samsung, or Google Pixel device, we can show you how to keep your phone number available while preventing your Xfinity SIM from “roaming” and using data while you travel.

What if I don’t want to use the Xfinity Global Travel Pass?

If you plan on using a prepaid eSIM data plan for all mobile data during your trip, sign into your Xfinity Mobile account and make sure the Xfinity Global Travel Pass isn’t added to your phone number. (If it is, it will automatically activate as soon as you use your phone internationally.)

As long as you’re not using the Xfinity Global Travel Pass, you will only be charged per call and per text. (You’ll use your eSIM for data, and we’ll help make sure your roaming settings are correct.)
