Can I use my Koodo phone internationally?

Koodo customers can use their phones all over world, but it’s important to understand the different ways these extra charges could appear on your next bill.

As a Koodo customer, you may be able to choose between their Easy Roam option (flat daily rate for calling, texting, and data) or you can pay per call/text and use an eSIM for data instead.

Which Koodo option is best for international travel?

If you plan on making a lot of phone calls and sending a lot of texts while you’re travelling, you probably want to choose the Koodo Easy Roam plan. Then you won’t have to pay for each individual call or text.

If you want to save money and won’t be calling/texting much (remember, iMessage doesn’t count as texting), it will be cheaper to use Koodo’s standard rates for active calling minutes and outgoing texts.

If I use an eSIM for data, will Koodo charge me for data usage, too?

If you’re using an eSIM for all data usage, you have disabled Data Roaming for your Koodo SIM, and you have opted out of any Koodo roaming plans, they will not charge you data roaming fees.

Whether you have an iPhone, Samsung, or Google Pixel device, we can show you how to keep your phone number available while preventing your Koodo SIM from “roaming” and using data while you travel.
